Speaker: Dr. Linda Semlitz, MD, Clinical Director, TELL Community Counseling Service
Last March 7, 2009, Kyodo News reported
that suicides in 2008 hit almost 32,000 keeping suicides above the
30,000 line for the 11th straight year, with depression topping the
list of reasons. However, the National Police Agency already reported
almost 2,700 suicides for January 2009 alone. Now something is wrong. Terribly wrong!
So what can we do as HR and business
professionals? How can we identify employees in crisis? And if an
employee suicide does happen during our watch, how do we manage it?
Join us in this very timely discussion
around this topic and gain useful insights to help you and your
organization prevent and manage employee depression and suicides.
Leading us in this discussion is Dr. Linda Semlitz,MD,
Clinical Director of TELL---a non-profit organization offering
counseling assistance not only to Japan's English community but
increasingly to the Japanese society as a whole.
