Hurdles for ‘equal pay’ system

Discussions moved into full gear Tuesday to introduce an “equal pay for equal work” system. The Japan Business Federation (Keidanren) is believed to be among those who will cooperate with the government, which intends to introduce the system as early as possible. To implement the system, however, drastic reviews of conventional employment systems are necessary, and there are many problems to be solved.
