Oct. job openings ratio highest since Jan. 1974

TOKYO (Jiji Press) — The seasonally adjusted ratio of effective job openings to seekers in October rose 0.03 point from the previous month to 1.55, the highest level since January 1974, the Health, Labor and Welfare Ministry said Friday.
