Japan upgrades economic assessment on recovering production

TOKYO (Kyodo) - The government on Wednesday upwardly revised its monthly assessment of the Japanese economy, citing a recovery in production and exports after a significant downturn following the March earthquake and tsunami, but it also warned of signs of a slowdown in overseas economies.
