  • Hitachi-GE Launch Human Resource Training Program in the Nuclear Power Field in Southeast Asia

    Tokyo, July 25, 2011 -( ASIATODAY )- Hitachi-GE Nuclear Energy, Ltd. (Hitachi-GE) today announced that it has started an international human resource training program jointly with the Tokyo Institute of Technology (TITECH) in the field of nuclear power, energy and the environment, mainly for Southeast Asia. Under this program, Hitachi-GE and TITECH today established a course at the Electric Power University (EPU) in Vietnam to which their lecturers are dispatched.

  • Japan pays $4m for human resources

  • Candidate Filipino caregivers leave for Japan

    MANILA - The third group of Philippine caregivers who have the chance to work in Japan under an economic partnership agreement between the two countries left Manila on Monday, officials said.

    The 60 candidates, 11 men and 49 women, will first undergo six months training in Japanese language in Chiba and Aichi prefectures before they will be deployed to health care facilities in several parts of Japan, Hiroya Yaguchi of the Japan International Corporation of Welfare Services said.

  • Japan to Send Teachers to the US for Training

    The Japanese government is sending 96 Japanese English teachers to the U.S. this month to participate in a six-month training program. The teachers will take courses in English education at seven universities. They will stay with American host families and work as interns at American secondary schools.

  • Some 50 utility workers posed as citizens to back atomic power on TV

    FUKUOKA - About 50 Kyushu Electric Power Co. employees and affiliates were involved in attempting to orchestrate an e-mail campaign, posing as ordinary citizens, in support of the restart of its nuclear reactors on a government-sponsored TV program, according to an internal investigation by the utility.

  • Worker exposed Japan's Kyushu Electric deception

    FUKUOKA - An employee of a Kyushu Electric Power Co. subsidiary blew the whistle on a recent deception in which the utility ordered employees of its offices and subsidiaries to send e-mails supporting the restart of two nuclear reactors to a meeting for local residents, the Japanese Communist Party said.
