Recognizing employees is one of the most important elements a mana
ger can do to build morale and enhance performance in todayís fast-moving, competitive business environment. Employees expect to be recognized when they do good work. Thanking employees for doing work increases the likelihood that they will repeat that behavior and serves as a catalyst for attracting and retaining top talent.

90% of managers who use recognition reports that it helps them better motivate employees, and 84% believe it increases employee performance. So this begs the question, if recognition is so effective, why donít more managers use it?
