The Microsoft Japan Experience
More and more companies such as Adobe, Lear, IBM, Deloitte, GAP, Synaptics, Eli Lilly, and Microsoft have already shifted to a more effective way to manage employee performance. In fact, as of end of 2015, it has been estimated that around 15% of the Fortune 500 companies, representing around 5 million employees worldwide, have already abandoned the traditional MBO-based performance management systems.
These companies find the traditional method of performance appraisal irrelevant, ineffective and even harmful to employee performance, the leadership and the entire business. The big question is, how can companies implement a more agile and responsive way to better manage employee performance?
To answer the above question, we are privileged to have Ms. Yukiko Nakategawa, HR Manager, Microsoft Japan Co. Ltd. to share Microsoft's own experience in implementing in Japan their own version of PMS 2.0 or Agile Performance Management called Performance and Development Approach (P&D).
In this learning event, Ms. Nakategawa will share the:
- WHY: The reasons Microsoft have to change the way they manage people performance;
- HOW: Priorities, steps, and tasks done to implement the P&D approach especially in the Japan context;
- RESULTS: Impact to the people and the business; and,
- LEARNING: Opportunities for improvement
Who Should Attend?
This event will be valuable to organizational leaders such as CEOs, Presidents, Country Managers, and Business Unit (BU) Heads as well as people leaders such as HR professionals, Line Managers and Supervisors who are keen and looking for ways to transform their organizations and achieve breakthroughs in performance through the use of agile and rating-free performance management system.
Seats are limited, so hurry and sign up for this event and learn from one of the world's most successful companies on how they implemented (and continuing to implement) Agile Performance Management.
