As more states adopt mandatory retirement programs for companies that do not offer their employees retirement benefits, more employers have been considering the adoption of their own retirement plans.
Many find that sponsoring a stand-alone plan works for their business. Others conclude that the most efficient method to do that is through a PEP, or a retirement plan exchange, which can limit the employer’s time, effort, cost, and potential liability in sponsoring the plan.
